Student researchers can make valuable contributions to industry objectives, and one way that we are supporting this is by linking students with industry partners to undertake short-term research projects under industry and university guidance.

We have run the program for a previous CRC, and have seen the successful completion of hundreds of projects.

Industry partners range from start-ups, to SMEs, to the big brands. Projects are a broad spectrum of activities in keeping with the nature of the iMOVE CRC research themes. That can mean anything in the intelligent transport / mobility area – a fairly wide-ranging scope!

How does the program work?

Companies are invited to submit proposals for projects suitable for final year undergraduate students. Broadly speaking the proposals should be for a discrete piece of work, able to be completed within an 8 to 9 month timeframe. In the past projects have made contributions to other larger projects, although it is recommended that the work not be on the critical path.

Recruitment of students will be done through iMOVE CRC partner universities from November 2017, with a view to starting projects around March 2018.
